72 years strong and counting, South Gate Chamber of Commerce has hosted its Annual South Gate Children’s Christmas Lane Parade becoming the largest running parade in the Southeast region, attracting over 30,000 attendees from viewing it live or via television. The parade goes along the City of South Gate historic Tweedy Blvd. from California Ave. to Pinehurst Ave., making this journey over one mile of pure entertainment with floats, dance groups, horses, trolleys, and of course Santa Claus. In the past 5 years, the Chamber has added the Santa Village Festival will also take place at South Gate Park Boys Scout Area, this festival is dedicated to the children and families to enjoy. The Festival brings live entertainment, food, prizes, and toy give-a-way. This year, we will feature Azteca TV’s Jugueton toy drive distributing over thousands of toys to the children in our region.
